INDCOR in India Research Network 2020

Some of the most valuable outputs in COST happen when the Actions go outside beyond its conceptual borders. This is what Chair of INDCOR Working Group 1 (Design and Development), Andrew Perkis, got during the last conference India Research Network 2020, with the guest talk “Solving Complex Issues Through Art and Technology”, on September 23, 2020.

As Perkis said, “one of my goals with my talk was to frame INDCOR as one of the use cases by using IDNs to solve complex issues as an example of the synergies between the creative (Art) and the software and interaction (Technology)”. In this sense, Perkis was talking with researchers at SAMSUNG, which was an opportunity to “provide them with a different perspective for their pure technology work”, he added.

During his distinguished talk, Perkis underlined “that no single discipline, technology, or field can produce knowledge capable of addressing the complexities and crises of the contemporary world. Moreover, we see the arts and humanities as critical tools for understanding this hyper-complex, mediated, and fragmented global reality.”
