ComplexityJam (II): Call for participants and partners (May 21-28)

Addressing complexity with games and interactive digital narratives. Topic: Post-Pandemic Education.

The pandemic was a catalyst for an online education boom. The benefits of e-learning have been significant for some students, and therefore online education is here to stay. Yet, there is also considerable room for improvement and this is where this game jam comes in, to make great games that take the complexity of online education into account. Participants will be tasked with developing interactive and fun educational games for students that encourage engagement and foster learning. The games should make the lives of teachers, parents and students a little easier – but be careful! Beware of screen-time overload, meeting objectives, evaluation and feedback, and student socialization issues. These games could fall under any educational category, including current events (fake news!), literature, history, science and math.

Bring your ideas and create a game that supports fun and engaging post-pandemic learning for students. Join us if you are a game developer, artist, graphic designer, musician, narrative designer, writer or just simply interested in making video games or other interactive digital narratives.

The winning team will be invited to present their design at a future COST-INDCOR meeting in September 21 or March 22 (transport and accomodation covered).
